Due to recent developments in the last few hours concerning COVID 19, we are in a situation that concerns our entire country.
We were informed that most of the speakers at the BDD are not allowed to attend, and therefore the scientific programme is severely affected. Many exhibitors are also prohibited from coming to the event.
Moreover, as a medical society, we do not want to expose the Belgian dermatology community, nor our patients to any additional risk.
Therefore, we decided to postpone the scientific programme and will work hard over the next days to find a solution to deliver the scientific content in the next couple of months.
The second general assembly will be postponed to a future date.
For members counting on accreditation points urgently (including ethics and economy), we are in contact with the RIZIV/INAMI to find a proper solution, e.g. a temporary waiver or prolongation of the accreditation period.
This is a very difficult and exceptional situation. We thank all participants, speakers and sponsors for their understanding.
We would like to wish to all of you the best for the following days and weeks.
Kind regards,
Jo Lambert, Béatrice De Donder, as presidents in the name of their boards
